About Us

Welcome to Unorthodox Apparel! My name is Alaina, and along with my twin sister, Autumn, we co-own and run Unorthodox Apparel. We have been best friends and inseparable since birth. We both have always had a passion for fashion and styling. Therefore, it was really a no-brainer when it came to deciding what we wanted to do for a career. Although we had hopes and dreams of owning our own clothing business someday, we never fully believed it would come to fruition. With many prayers and blessings, God has allowed us to start our own business and have a job that we enjoy. In fact, this is what we love to do and feels more like a hobby to us than a job.

Unorthodox Apparel reflects our individual styles and personalities. We both appreciate different aspects of various styles and we like to incorporate that into our closet. Our hope is that you, too, can find inspiration and confidence through our clothing and develop a style that makes you feel your best while pushing you out of your comfort zone a little as well. 

All in all, we are very blessed and owe all the glory to God. Therefore, we chose to base our name, Unorthodox Apparel, off of this bible verse. 

Romans 12:2, NIV: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."

The word "unorthodox" literally means not conforming to rules, traditions, or modes of conduct. Therefore, it not only applies to our faith, but it also reflects the way we choose to style ourselves. We don't always obey every rule of fashion or follow every trend, and that is what makes fashion fun.
